This Poitin has been bottled for the Poitín Now festival, Baoilleach Distillery filled a cask with Oat Mash Irish Whiskey which was offered as a cask share. We produced an Oat heavy mash which was fermented over 1 week and slowly double distilled with plenty of tails to give us a real Oat flavour.
The additional spirit produced from the Oat Mash was filled into a 30L - 2nd Fill Port & Marsala Cask for Irish Poitín. This Poitín has been rested for 6 weeks.
